Approach
'Doug was super chilled and had such a calming presence, which is just what you need on your wedding day. Nothing felt forced or posed on the day and we were so so thankful for that as we are not naturals in front of the camera. The pictures that we received are absolutely gorgeous and capture our day so perfectly in such a natural way.'
My approach to wedding photography is a laidback creative documentary style with a romantic and editorial hint. I work to capture the moments and details as they unfold. For the majority of the day the focus is on candid and natural moments and unobtrusively capturing interactions between you and your guests. I will also be documenting all the details you’ve put together and finding magic where natural light brings moments to my attention, think of this as capturing the essence and atmosphere of the day. When it comes to couples photographs I avoid cheesy poses and like to think of it as taking a stroll and enjoying a moment out to yourselves. Trust me when I say before working together all couples say they aren't comfortable or are a little awkward in front of the camera. This is where my laid back approach and years of experience come in. There will be some direction to keep you on track and put you in the best place to create the most beautiful photographs. When it comes to group photographs, I work efficiently with one of your designated helpers in the bridal party to make sure you have those special groups of people photographed all together, then get you back to the party to capture all the moments as they unfold.
