FAQ
How do I make a booking?
Thanks for considering me! To make a booking or enquiry please use the get in touch form and provide details of the date, venue and what you package would be interested in and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
What is your approach to wedding photography?
Good question. I take a relaxed and creative approach to my photography trying to get the most interesting shots that will show the unique character of each wedding individually. My job as a wedding photographer is to capture your big day and give you memories you can share for years to come. To me the more natural and candid the better. You can’t stage happiness..... but it just so happens a wedding day is filled with cheery faces. My style is more candid and documentary where I dissolve into the background for much of the day and keep out of the way of proceedings but capture all the special moments, details and little stories that unfold. Then when it comes to the couples portraits and group shots I’m there to guide you along the way and put you at ease in front of the camera. Unless of course, you’re a natural-born poser, in which case you can teach me a thing or two!
How and when do we receive the photos?
Once I’ve snapped away and come down from the excitement of the day I set about selecting and editing the images. A full day will usually result in between 400-600 images depending on what makes the cut. I will then provide you with your photo presentation box and a USB device with copies of both High resolution (for your big prints) and Low resolution (for your Instagram and Facebook) versions of your images within the following 5 to 6 weeks. I also provide you with an exclusive online password protected gallery so that you can share your wedding photographs with friends and family without the need for sending lots of inbox crashing emails.
How much is the deposit?
A non-refundable deposit of 40% of the final amount and is paid to secure the booking. The remaining balance is then invoiced one month prior to the wedding and due just ahead of the big day.
How far will you travel & do you photograph elopements?
I am based in Ayrshire but I work across the UK and seize the opportunity to photograph elopements and weddings in more distant and exotic locations (Tropical island and mountain top weddings hit me up!). Bookings outwith a 60 mile return journey from my home would have an additional charge to cover the cost of travel & any accomodation required which I can provide details of via a quote. Do get in touch if you have any queries
